The following comes from the Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC):
The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) and Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) invite you and interested colleagues to attend the upcoming online symposium: “Going Global, Growing Global: New Models for Internationalization at Community Colleges,” on Thursday, April 8 and Friday, April 9, 2021, from 1:00-3:00 pm Eastern Time. The promotional flyer for the two-day event is below.
This online symposium brings together faculty, administrators, and organizations involved in community college international education to discuss how today’s unprecedented challenges require educators to re-imagine the relevance, priorities, and methods of their internationalization efforts. Special attention will be given to the critical importance of enhancing global and intercultural competency through curriculum development, engaging international students and overseas campuses in growing global awareness, and the essential role of on-line technology and virtual exchange in broadening access to global experiences.
