2018 Combined Central-Southern Regional Conference
October 18-20: Hotel Louisville
Deadline for Proposals: 26 September 2018
Proposals are now being accepted for any of the following tracks:

Presentation types/options include the following: individual (25 mins), roundtable discussion (55 mins). Please include time for Q&A as we want to foster engagement. Accommodations and Reservations:
Rooms are available at the Hotel Louisville ($50/night). More information can be found at www.cchumanities.org. Hotel Louisville is located within walking distance of many of the city’s finest dining and attractions.
Who Should Attend and Present:
Anyone involved in the humanities in any way (as educators or otherwise) is invited to present at and/or attend the conference.
Please Note:
- You do not need to be a member to submit a proposal, but everyone presenting or attending must be a CCHA member. You can become a member or renew your membership at cchumanities.org (dues are reasonable & affordable).
- Anyone presenting or attending must register for the 2018 Central-Southern Division Conference and pay the appropriate conference registration fee. Registration details will be available online at cchumanities.org.

The DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS is SEPETMBER 26, 2018.
- All proposals will be reviewed by the Program Committee regarding acceptance, and notification of acceptance will be sent by SEPETMBER 15, 2018.

Thursday, October 18
2:00pm-5:00pm: Check in at Hotel Louisville; Meet and Greet your colleagues!
6:00pm: Welcoming and Dinner* (at Hotel Louisville or a local restaurant with group seating)
Optional Thursday evening event*– Aladdin at the Louisville Theater
Friday, October 19
6:30-8:00am: Continental Breakfast at Hotel Louisville (included in hotel fee)
8:30am: Board bus and depart for Pleasant Hill (Refreshments/Tour/Lunch included in tour fee)
3:30pm: Arrive back at Hotel Louisville
5:00pm-7:00pm: Dinner, Announcements & Keynote speaker (included in Conference fee)
Optional Friday evening event*– Aladdin at the Louisville Theater
Saturday, October 20
6:30-8:00am: Continental Breakfast at Hotel Louisville (included in hotel fee)
7:30am-8:30am: Division meetings at Hotel Louisville
Saturday Morning Academic Presentations:
9:00am-9:45am: Session 1
10:00am-10:45am: Session 2
11:00am-11:45am: Session 3
12:00pm-1:30pm: Lunch* (local dining)
2:00pm-4:00pm: Central/Southern Combined Conference meeting (Objectives and Goals for 2019) and Closing statements.
Sunday, October 21st – post conference
Attendees are welcome to stay and enjoy the amenities of Louisville’s nightlife and depart on Sunday, October 21. Those who stay Saturday night can enjoy the Continental Breakfast at Hotel Louisville (included in hotel fee).
*Denotes meals and/or events that participants will pay for individually as they are not included in the conference fees.

Please Note that when ordering registration from the menu below, each option selected counts as a “ticket.” For instance, if you select “General Registration” and also “Vegetarian Meals,” this will be treated as “two tickets.” In addition, selecting “General registration” plus “Pre-Conference Workshop 1” and “Vegetarian Meals” would count as “three tickets.” You will see your ticket(s) listed on the final receipt page.
Want to add on something later, like a pre-conference workshop or a tour (as things become available), simply come back and register for these things as you please.
You DO NOT need to have PayPal to pay for your registration. Simply click the gray “Pay With Debit or Credit Card” button when prompted to login to PayPal, as shown in the images below. You may see a PayPal logo again after that, but this does not mean you are paying by PayPal, it means they are the system through which your payment will be processed. If you are entering credit/debit card information, that is how you are paying.
