Michael Jacobs is the Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences at Monroe Community College. He holds a BA in Media Studies, MA in Humanities (concentrations: documentary film and English), and a doctorate in English. Prior to his current role, Dr. Jacobs taught English, fit, and media studies at Berkeley College in NYC where he served as English Department chair from 2009-2017. His research interests include literary modernism, documentary literature, and humanities education. He is currently serving as vice president for CCHA’s Deans’ Council.
